American arrogance in assuming we’re the top influence is the wrong attitude. So much has been dismantled so fast and nothing but problems remain. Building is so much harder than tearing things apart.
But it's also a time of opportunity, as the current system is dismantled, the new one is built, and the historical pattern is clear: the world gets better with each new system. We've gone from Spanish slaughter, British servitude, American imperialism, to (I hope) multipolar coooperation. I'm optimistic for the world.
