If the U.S. held free and fair elections, there would be no doubt the Republicans (and Trump’s power along with them) would be swept aside during the midterms on three November. We already know Trump and the Republicans have rigged the elections: there will not be free and fair elections. They have:
redistricted mid-decade
restricted who can vote
attempted to stop mailing ballots
threatened intimidation tactics at polling places
seized ballots from a county election office
sued more than 30 states to get their voter rolls
threatened to prosecute election officials
called for Republicans to “take over the voting”
refused to commit to accepting the results
used a federal immigration database to flag voters as noncitizens
cut federal election security support to the states
ordered an investigation of ActBlue, the Democrats’ main fundraising platform
delayed the release of a federal voting machine security study
Despite their efforts, they may still lose, and Trump and the Republicans are setting the groundwork for that as well. Based on past actions, this is what Trump and the Republicans are likely to do.
