Trump’s tariffs may be generating tens of billions of dollars for the U.S. Treasury each month, while the U.S. is losing global market share and social capital (trust and goodwill) with nearly every trading partner, enabling China to gain market share, the fundamental driver of long-term success, and to make trillions. How is this helping the working class?
It is immediately helping the working class in China and many other nations. It will significantly help the working class of Europe in the next few years, as well as the BRICS+ nations. For the US, it will increase prices and unemployment while driving down wages. It's all in your persepctive.

Us tariffs are paid by the US importer, passed on to the merchant who passes it to the customer. No $$ come in from the outside, paid by Americans.
There is nothing complex about this, yet I still hear Americans argue that tariffs will help the economy.
